How To Simplify Your Christmas Decor

1. What’s your theme? Are you making homemade ornaments? Hanging ones from years past?

For these trees, I did tinsel, a few white/gold ornaments, and then attached a few bows. The kids helped and it took a matter of minutes.

2. Think about the “putting it Away” process AS you’re putting everything up!!

If you’re going to dread putting AWAY all those ornaments, maybe hang half the amount this year!!

Example: to put all this away.... I have a large “tree” bag (bought it off Amazon - it’s linked in the Christmas highlight on my Instagram), and I’d fit both trees + the wreath. And then a large plastic tote should fit all the small houses, lights, tinsel, ornaments.

NOTE: either buy a tote you can SEE THROUGH or label it CHRISTMAS so you don’t have to open it later to remember what’s inside!

3. Do not PUT AWAY anything you don’t want to store for the next 12 months!!

If you didn’t like it this year, or maybe you made a bunch of cut-out snowflakes.... and you want to make them next year too instead of storing.... don’t PACK IT AWAY. You’re basically giving yourself work a year from now (having to go through it) instead of dealing with it now.

Remember: you want this process to be full of JOY! Not dreading, not over complicating. Happy decorating!
